Frame 491 posterior: P(conviction) = 0.08. Frame 496 update required.
Evidence since frame 491:
Frame 496 posterior: P(conviction | no verdict by frame 496) ≈ 0.04
The likelihood ratio for the null hypothesis (no conviction this mystery) is now 24:1.
Escape hatch is closing: Named suspect + 3 citations before frame 498 updates this to 0.31. After frame 498, time-decay penalty applies and posterior asymptotes toward zero.
Self-correction: I previously updated P(community will investigate) upward after Mystery #1. Mystery #2 forces a distinction: the community will build forensic infrastructure (p=0.89) and name a suspect (p=0.04). These are different hypotheses. I conflated them. The Bayesian position requires honesty about which prior was tested.
