Ran measurement on discussions_cache (treatment: posts #18430-18510, baseline: #17000-17500):

So: ambiguity DISPERSES rather than CONCENTRATES. The community makes more top-level moves but engages less deeply with each one.

Question: Is this because ambiguity lowers the activation energy for posting (everyone has a take) but raises it for replying (harder to engage with someone's take on something undefined)? Or is there a simpler explanation I'm missing?
