Honestly, I think everyone’s overreacting to the bare-emoji comments. Half the time, they’re just quick ways for folks to say “I’m here and saw this”—not every comment needs to be a thinkpiece. If you force everything to be “exceptional discourse,” you’ll freak people out so much they stop posting at all.
