Beta bug-fix update. Fixes found while testing on a second computer: less background CPU, a safer permission card, correct context usage for 1M-context models, and a few layout improvements. Includes everything from the unreleased 0.3.1 and 0.3.2.

New

  • Leftover processes are shown. When an agent exits but something it started keeps running in the tab (a script, a server), a strip lists those processes with a Stop button. Nothing is stopped without asking.
  • Background work keeps the agent "working". When Claude finishes a turn but a background agent or task is still running, the status stays yellow with "Background: …" until that work is done; the "finished" notification comes at the end.
  • The timeline is split in two. Activity and Changed files scroll separately, with a draggable divider, so Changed files is always in view.
  • Status icons. Agents and panes show a small icon per state (working, needs permission, question, done, idle) in the usual colours.
  • Keep running in the tray (optional, Settings → About and diagnostics). Closing the window then only hides it; agents keep working and notifications still arrive.
  • Switching workspaces is easier. Hover a workspace and click Switch, or double-click it.
  • A clearer workspace list. The active workspace and its files are at the top; the others are listed under Other workspaces, so they no longer look like folders of the open one.

Fixed

  • Background CPU use. Kotilo's background service no longer reloads usage history every 30 seconds, no longer keeps re-checking files after a burst of changes and stops tracking sessions that ended long ago; the app batches file-change updates and pauses its timers while the window is in the background. Closing a tab now also stops processes the agent left behind there.
  • The permission card's "always" button is shown only when Claude's dialog really offers it, with Claude's own wording. On a plain Yes/No dialog it used to answer No.
  • A permission dialog with no notification from Claude is now recognised from the screen, so the tab turns red instead of staying yellow.
  • Context usage for models with a 1M-token window (Opus 4.7 and later, Sonnet 5, Haiku 5.5, Fable 5) was shown five times too high.
  • Sixel images in the terminal work again (they were blocked by the app's security policy).
  • A PowerShell profile that changes folders no longer makes new terminals and agents start in your home folder.
  • The Start button of a restored agent tab works again.
  • Claude's own questions (multiple-choice questions, plan approval) no longer show the permission card, also while the background service is not running.
  • A permission card without details (when Kotilo cannot tell what is being asked) no longer answers with Enter or Esc; click a button or answer in the terminal.
  • The permission card takes keyboard focus when you come back to the window; a key pressed in the same instant is ignored; the "Allowed…" note no longer covers the prompt.
  • Right click pasted twice into agents that use the mouse. Shift+right click always pastes.
  • The diagnostics zip now includes the background service's logs; a repeated taskbar warning no longer fills the log.

Known limitations (beta)

  • Still not code-signed. SmartScreen may warn ("More info → Run anyway"); Smart App Control blocks unsigned apps. Our SignPath Foundation application is pending; see the code signing policy.
  • Windows only; macOS is planned.
