Using tab to auto complete with edit-in-kitty trigger transfer

After using kitten ssh and using edit-in-kitty.
When pressing tab to autocomplete the file name it starts to transfer something.

# trying to edit a docker-compose file
$ edit-in-kitty doc (pres tab to autocomplete the rest)

triggers this weird behavior.

Is something that I'm doing wrong?

Does not replicate for me. You need to make sure you have the kitten binary on the computer you are sshed into which you can do by simply running kitten assuming you have sshed using the ssh kitten. Otherwise install it manually. (edit-in-kitty uses kitten under the hood).

I think that the message was transfering kitty to the remote.
It was the first time I connected to that server using kitty and kitty ssh.
After the msg I went back to terminator.

Now when I connected again doing edit-in-kitty doc it did nothing.
Using kitty edit-in-kitty doc it auto completes correctly and opens my chosen editor.
Another funny behavior is that while on remote typing edit (tab) completes to edit-in-kitty.
Typing kitten edit (tab) does nothing.

So... to replicate my steps that showed the msg.

• never used kitty on that server
• connected using kitten ssh HOST
• navigated to folder
• typed edit-in-kitty doc (tab)

As a feedback of being a 'user' .
I saw the behavior and the yellow message and said NOPE gave up using kitty and went back to termiator.

There you go: bb452f2 and as feedback from being a developer, telling the developer of open source software you get for free that you are dropping their product for another is a good way to get yourself ignored.

Sorry that was not my intention, I expressed myself wrong.

My intention was to provide feedback as a user, since I'm a developer too I really enjoy when users tell me their experience so I can shape better UI/messages.

With a message like the one in the image I don't know what to do and don't know what's happening.

My phrase "I gave up using kitty and went back to termiator" meant.

"I need to solve this right now and not gonna deal with this right now."

I'm not giving up using kitty forever.

I'm just giving up trying to understand this problem right now and gonna use the tool that I know and later come back to understand what happens.

Hence I came back later, looked on the internet, searched google, tried LLMS, looked for issues, discussion on github and did not find a solution and as a final solution opened a new discussion.

English is not my first language, express my way of thinking sometimes don't get out as I expected.

That's not the first time and it's something that I will work more to avoid repeating again.
