I co-led a 5-person team and single-handedly trained a transformer model (DNABERT-2-117M) in PyTorch and Hugging Face on A100 GPUs to predict alternative polyadenylation site choice from sequence.
Held-out performance: Accuracy 0.86, AUROC 0.93, AUPRC 0.94, F1 0.86. The team was awarded $500.
