Question: Air-gapped deployment and enterprise authentication support

Hi OpenRAG team,

We are currently evaluating OpenRAG for deployment in a fully air-gapped enterprise environment.

While reviewing the documentation, we noticed that authentication for knowledge connectors appears to rely on Google OAuth:

We would like to understand:

• Is full air-gapped deployment currently supported or planned?
• Are there dependencies on external cloud services that would prevent offline usage?
• Is support for enterprise authentication providers planned, such as:
  • internal OAuth2,
  • OpenID Connect (OIDC),
  • SAML / corporate SSO,
  • self-hosted identity providers (Keycloak, Authentik, Entra ID, etc.)?
• Is Google OAuth currently mandatory for some connectors or platform features?
• Is there a roadmap for enabling fully self-hosted authentication in secure enterprise environments?

Our target use case requires:

• no external network dependency,
• internal-only authentication,
• compatibility with enterprise security and compliance requirements.
