How to move a embedded document to another database? #23550

Dify does not support moving embedded documents directly between databases. Each embedded document is tightly linked to its original database, and there’s no way to simply update the path or metadata to move it. To reorganize, you’ll need to re-upload your original files to the new databases and let Dify re-embed them. If you don’t have the original files, you’d need to extract the content externally and reinsert it, but this isn’t natively supported. After re-uploading and embedding in the new databases, you can delete the originals from the old database if needed. This process ensures all embeddings and document associations are correctly rebuilt in the new structure. To reply, just mention @dosu. How did I do? I have already built a databese and uploaded some files ,then embedded them. But now I want to organize the file structure and subdivide the database as some small databases. I want to know can I move the embedded document path as well as reupload and embed them again.
