@driesvints As discussed on twitter, this is a simple PR that hopefully follows your coding standards. This PR allows a user to use a different branch name, than the hard coded "main" branch.
I would have liked to use the default branch name as configured by git config as a fallback before reverting to "main". You would get this via the following command -
git config --global init.defaultBranch. However, I wasn't sure how best to implement this.
