macOS

  • The app installs itself. On its first start the macOS build copies itself into Applications, removes the download quarantine from that copy, opens it and ends, so the zip and the unzipped folder can be deleted afterwards. An app already there is replaced unless it is running.
  • The macOS download stays a zip rather than a dmg: macOS 26 reports a downloaded unsigned dmg as damaged (#351). The zip now behaves like an installer.

Stability

  • A window process that dies no longer leaves a Host running as an orphan at high CPU. The Host sends a heartbeat and ends itself when its window process is gone; the window process ends a Host that stays silent for 45 seconds.
