Sir Can u help Im developer and im trying to compile with this kernel source for sun4i ( all winner 10 ) tablets but im getting compilation error i did def config for my device and set the tool chain path but i m getting error on compilation can u help me

you need to use a proper cross compiler. see https://github.com/amery/linux-allwinner/wiki/Building as a quick hint.

As the new x86 CPU bootup printout format code maintainer, I am
taking immediate action to improve and clean (and thus indulge
my OCD) the reporting of the cores when coming up online.

Fix padding to a right-hand alignment, cleanup code and bind
reporting width to the max number of supported CPUs on the
system, like this:

It appears that gcc is better at optimising a double call to min and max
rather than open coded min3 and max3.  This can be observed here:

fmin3 function, which uses open-coded min3 macro, is compiled into total
of ten instructions including a conditional branch, whereas fmin2
function, which uses two calls to min2 macro, is compiled into six
instructions with no branches.

Similarly, open-coded clamp produces the same code as clamp using min and
max macros, but the latter is much shorter:

The above call trace is seen even on x86_64; albeit very rarely and that too
with nodesize set to 64k and with nospace_cache mount option being used.

The reason for the above call trace is,
btrfs_remove_chunk
  check_system_chunk
    Allocate chunk if required
  For each physical stripe on underlying device,
    btrfs_free_dev_extent
      ...
      Take lock on Device tree's root node
      btrfs_cow_block("dev tree's root node");
        btrfs_reserve_extent
          find_free_extent
	    index = BTRFS_RAID_DUP;
	    have_caching_bg = false;

            When in LOOP_CACHING_NOWAIT state, Assume we find a block group
	    which is being cached; Hence have_caching_bg is set to true

            When repeating the search for the next RAID index, we set
	    have_caching_bg to false.

Hence right after completing the LOOP_CACHING_NOWAIT state, we incorrectly
skip LOOP_CACHING_WAIT state and move to LOOP_ALLOC_CHUNK state where we
allocate a chunk and try to add entries corresponding to the chunk's physical
stripe into the device tree. When doing so the task deadlocks itself waiting
for the blocking lock on the root node of the device tree.

This commit fixes the issue by introducing a new local variable to help
indicate as to whether a block group of any RAID type is being cached.

After promisc mode management was introduced a bridge device could do
dev_set_promiscuity from its ndo_change_rx_flags() callback which in
turn can be called after the bridge's addr_list_lock has been taken
(e.g. by dev_uc_add). This causes a false positive lockdep splat because
the port interfaces' addr_list_lock is taken when br_manage_promisc()
runs after the bridge's addr list lock was already taken.
To remove the false positive introduce a custom bridge addr_list_lock
class and set it on bridge init.
A simple way to reproduce this is with the following:

find_outdev calls inet{,6}_fib_lookup_dev() or dev_get_by_index() to
find the output device. In case of an error, inet{,6}_fib_lookup_dev()
returns error pointer and dev_get_by_index() returns NULL. But the function
only checks for NULL and thus can end up calling dev_put on an ERR_PTR.
This patch adds an additional check for err ptr after the NULL check.

Before: Trying to add an mpls route with no oif from user, no available
path to 10.1.1.8 and no default route:

case, there is an issue when block_put is called tcf_chain_destroy

tcf_chain_flush needs to be called with RTNL. However, on
free_tcf->
 tcf_action_goto_chain_fini->
  tcf_chain_put->
   tcf_chain_destroy->
    tcf_chain_flush
callpath, it is called without RTNL.

The commit below added a call to the ->destroy() callback for all qdiscs
which failed in their ->init(), but some were not prepared for such
change and can't handle partially initialized qdisc. HTB is one of them
and if any error occurs before the qdisc watchdog timer and qdisc work are
initialized then we can hit either a null ptr deref (timer->base) when
canceling in ->destroy or lockdep error info about trying to register
a non-static key and a stack dump. So to fix these two move the watchdog
timer and workqueue init before anything that can err out.
To reproduce userspace needs to send broken htb qdisc create request,
tested with a modified tc (q_htb.c).

Syzbot reported the use-after-free in timer_is_static_object() [1].

This can happen because the structure for the rto timer (ccid2_hc_tx_sock)
is removed in dccp_disconnect(), and ccid2_hc_tx_rto_expire() can be
called after that.

The report [1] is similar to the one in commit 120e9da ("dccp:
defer ccid_hc_tx_delete() at dismantle time"). And the fix is the same,
delay freeing ccid2_hc_tx_sock structure, so that it is freed in
dccp_sk_destruct().

Syzbot reported the use-after-free in timer_is_static_object() [1].

This can happen because the structure for the rto timer (ccid2_hc_tx_sock)
is removed in dccp_disconnect(), and ccid2_hc_tx_rto_expire() can be
called after that.

The report [1] is similar to the one in commit 120e9da ("dccp:
defer ccid_hc_tx_delete() at dismantle time"). And the fix is the same,
delay freeing ccid2_hc_tx_sock structure, so that it is freed in
dccp_sk_destruct().

LSPCON chips can generate YCBCR outputs, if asked nicely :).

In order to generate YCBCR 4:2:0 outputs, a source must:
- send YCBCR 4:4:4 signals to LSPCON
- program color space as 4:2:0 in AVI infoframes

Whereas for YCBCR 4:4:4 outputs, the source must:
- send YCBCR 4:4:4 signals to LSPCON
- program color space as 4:4:4 in AVI infoframes

So for both 4:2:0 as well as 4:4:4 outputs, we are driving the
pipe for YCBCR 4:4:4 output, but AVI infoframe's color space
information indicates LSPCON FW to start scaling down from YCBCR
4:4:4 and generate YCBCR 4:2:0 output. As the scaling is done by
LSPCON device, we need not to reserve a scaler for 4:2:0 outputs.

KASAN does not play well with the page poisoning (CONFIG_PAGE_POISONING).
It triggers false positives in the allocation path:

When an SMC connection is created, and there is a problem to
create an RMB or DMB, the previously created send buffer is
thrown away as well including buffer descriptor freeing.
Make sure the connection no longer references the freed
buffer descriptor, otherwise bugs like this are possible:

operation is not allowed in l2cap_sock_teardown_cb(), and also we should
avoid killing an already killed socket in l2cap_sock_close_cb().

del_mtd_device() will call of_node_put() to mtd_get_of_node(mtd), which
is mtd->dev.of_node. However, memset(&mtd->dev, 0) is called before
of_node_put(). As the result, of_node_put() won't do anything in
del_mtd_device(), and causes the refcount leak.

without display - suspending fbdev should be skipped during system
suspend, fix this up. While at it add an assert that suspending fbdev

Commit 4fe8158 ("ixgbe: let the xdpdrv work with more than 64 cpus")
adds support to allow XDP programs to run on systems with more than
64 CPUs by locking the XDP TX rings and indexing them using cpu % 64
(IXGBE_MAX_XDP_QS).

Upon trying this out patch on a system with more than 64 cores,
the kernel paniced with an array-index-out-of-bounds at the return in
ixgbe_determine_xdp_ring in ixgbe.h, which means ixgbe_determine_xdp_q_idx

I think this is how it happens:

Upon loading the first XDP program on a system with more than 64 CPUs,
ixgbe_xdp_locking_key is incremented in ixgbe_xdp_setup.  However,
immediately after this, the rings are reconfigured by ixgbe_setup_tc.
ixgbe_setup_tc calls ixgbe_clear_interrupt_scheme which calls
ixgbe_free_q_vectors which calls ixgbe_free_q_vector in a loop.
ixgbe_free_q_vector decrements ixgbe_xdp_locking_key once per call if
it is non-zero.  Commenting out the decrement in ixgbe_free_q_vector
stopped my system from panicing.

I suspect to make the original patch work, I would need to load an XDP
program and then replace it in order to get ixgbe_xdp_locking_key back
above 0 since ixgbe_setup_tc is only called when transitioning between
XDP and non-XDP ring configurations, while ixgbe_xdp_locking_key is
incremented every time ixgbe_xdp_setup is called.

Also, ixgbe_setup_tc can be called via ethtool --set-channels, so this
becomes another path to decrement ixgbe_xdp_locking_key to 0 on systems
with more than 64 CPUs.

Since ixgbe_xdp_locking_key only protects the XDP_TX path and is tied
to the number of CPUs present, there is no reason to disable it upon
unloading an XDP program.  To avoid confusion, I have moved enabling
ixgbe_xdp_locking_key into ixgbe_sw_init, which is part of the probe path.

I think this is how it happens:

Upon loading the first XDP program on a system with more than 64 CPUs,
ixgbe_xdp_locking_key is incremented in ixgbe_xdp_setup.  However,
immediately after this, the rings are reconfigured by ixgbe_setup_tc.
ixgbe_setup_tc calls ixgbe_clear_interrupt_scheme which calls
ixgbe_free_q_vectors which calls ixgbe_free_q_vector in a loop.
ixgbe_free_q_vector decrements ixgbe_xdp_locking_key once per call if
it is non-zero.  Commenting out the decrement in ixgbe_free_q_vector
stopped my system from panicing.

I suspect to make the original patch work, I would need to load an XDP
program and then replace it in order to get ixgbe_xdp_locking_key back
above 0 since ixgbe_setup_tc is only called when transitioning between
XDP and non-XDP ring configurations, while ixgbe_xdp_locking_key is
incremented every time ixgbe_xdp_setup is called.

Also, ixgbe_setup_tc can be called via ethtool --set-channels, so this
becomes another path to decrement ixgbe_xdp_locking_key to 0 on systems
with more than 64 CPUs.

Since ixgbe_xdp_locking_key only protects the XDP_TX path and is tied
to the number of CPUs present, there is no reason to disable it upon
unloading an XDP program.  To avoid confusion, I have moved enabling
ixgbe_xdp_locking_key into ixgbe_sw_init, which is part of the probe path.

Since we may hold gic_lock in hardirq context, use raw spinlock
makes more sense given that it is for low-level interrupt handling
routine and the critical section is small.

9f74a3d ("ice: Fix VF Reset paths when interface in a failed over
aggregate"), the ice driver has acquired the LAG mutex in ice_reset_vf().
The commit placed this lock acquisition just prior to the acquisition of
the VF configuration lock.

If ice_reset_vf() acquires the configuration lock via the ICE_VF_RESET_LOCK
flag, this could deadlock with ice_vc_cfg_qs_msg() because it always
acquires the locks in the order of the VF configuration lock and then the
LAG mutex.

Lockdep reports this violation almost immediately on creating and then
removing 2 VF:

To avoid deadlock, we must acquire the LAG mutex only after acquiring the
VF configuration lock. Fix the ice_reset_vf() to acquire the LAG mutex only
