Copying filename with Ctrl+C fails in List View, if Ctrl key has another function

Issue
Copying filename fails with CTR+C, while renaming when mouse's functionality of showing position of pointer when CTR key is pressed is enabled.

Steps to reproduce

1. Enable mouse functionality of showing position of pointer when CTR key is pressed.
2. Rename a file by right-clicking or by pressing F2.
3. Copy the filename by pressing CTR+C

Other information
I suppose that by pressing CTR the mouse's showing position functionality is being enabled & the renaming process is being canceled.

Without the above mouse's functionality, there's no issue.

I retested this on Linux Mint 20 Cinnamon and can reproduce this but only in List View. If I toggle to rename a file and press Ctrl while in List View—with the mouse option to show position of pointer when pressing Ctrl enabled—it cause abort of the rename action. Without that mouse option enabled Ctrl does not interfere.

In Icon View and Compact View I can use Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V and the mouse pointer position animation happens only after releasing the Ctrl key and does not interfere.

This looks related to #2068 which is another example of some action aborting rename while in List View that doesn't happen in Icon or Compact View.

Disabling the mouse option to show position of pointer when pressing Ctrl as mentioned by @xenopeek fixed the problem for me.
