hubot-direct@5.0.0 has been released with support for direct-js@4.0.0. The adapter's own API and type declarations are unchanged.

Breaking changes

  • Requires node >= 20. Node.js 18 is no longer supported. The npm >= 10 requirement is unchanged (#18)
  • Requires direct-js >= 4 < 5 (#18). direct-js@4.0.0 no longer depends on libxmljs, so the libxmljs native addon is no longer built or downloaded when installing hubot-direct. The XML validation of styled notes is stricter, and some validation error messages have been reworded. See the direct-js 4.0.0 release notes for details.

Others

  • Test on Node.js 20, 22, 24, and 26 on GitHub Actions. Node.js 18 is no longer tested (#18)
  • Stop tracking package-lock.json in the repository. CI installs the latest dependencies within the declared ranges (#18)
  • Publish to npm using trusted publishing and staged publishing. Published packages include automatically generated provenance attestations (#18)
