Search
Search every topic on the account, and paste an earlier topic into a new chat so the model can use it as background.
On a computer, open Search in the left sidebar. On a phone, open More, then Search.
Type a word or phrase. ChatHub matches topic titles and the text of your messages and assistant replies, across every assistant and group chat on the account. The search box in one assistant's topic list still searches only that assistant.
Two filters sit under the search box:
- All assistants limits the results to one assistant or group chat. Leave it empty to search the whole account.
- From and To limit results to topics whose last activity falls on those dates, including both days. Either date can be left empty. The range uses your local timezone.
You can use the filters without typing a search word. That lists up to 30 matching topics, newest activity first.
Each result shows the title, the assistant or group name, the last activity time, a short snippet when the match is in a message, and the topic id.
- Open goes to that topic.
- Copy ID copies the topic id.
Every topic already has an id that starts with tpc_ and then 12 characters.
Copy it in either of these ways:
- In the topic list, open the topic menu and choose Copy reference.
- On a search result, choose Copy ID.
The address bar while that topic is open is the other form. It looks like /chat?session=...&topic=tpc_....
In a new topic, paste the id or that URL into your message. On that reply and every later reply in this topic, ChatHub loads the referenced topic for the model:
- A short topic is included as the conversation text.
- A long topic uses its compaction summary when one exists, then the messages written after that summary. Without a summary, ChatHub keeps a short beginning and ending and marks the middle as omitted.
- At most three references are used.
- The current conversation takes precedence over the referenced topic.
- A topic you do not own, or that does not exist, is reported as not found. The model is told not to invent that chat.
The referenced text is background for the request. It is not copied into the new topic as messages.
Note
Asking in plain language to "use my chat about X" does not search your history. Paste the topic id or the topic URL.
