This code stores Mesh objects as minimal binary files and filters out duplicates.
- Scan for duplicate Vertices + Indices + Normals
- Scan for duplicate UVs
- Store color data ONLY if present and not all 1 color
It reduced our selection of "level objects" from 121 MB to 43 MB in the Unity project. Results may vary in actual builds, but ~60% saved is good in my book! This format can also be zipped to go from e.g. 43 MB to 8 MB.
