OK Now that P4 support has been added to MicroPython I am going to do what I usually do not like doing and that is using the master branch of MicroPython.

I know the last update I did has not been working and when I pull in the master branch of MicroPython those issues should be fixed (hopefully). I am going to mess around with doing that this evening and hopefully everything will start working again with little to no problems.

There is a bug upstream in micropython that is causing the build to fail. I am not sure how the mechanics work so I am not going to fix it. I have opened an issue in MicroPython's repo. we will see what happens with it.

Now that P4 support is there, will there be support for DSI MIPI screens?

Yes there will be. The driver is already written. I have to order up a DSI display to test it out. I also need to extend the software rotation so it will be available for the DSI displays.
