Save & Duplicate product doesn't take new image (and other things)

Created a product, saved and duplicated it
Changed the title and image
New product kept old title, apparently had to change scope to change the title in the specific store
Changed image in both scopes
Still showing original image

Preconditions

1. Magento 2.1.2
2. PHP 7.0.8-0ubuntu0.16.04.3
3. Apache version 2.4.20
4. Multiple Tenant Magento stores (for different scope issues)

Steps to reproduce

1. Have a product w/ image, etc
2. Save and duplicate the product
3. Change image, title, quantities, enable product

Expected result

1. Product should show in store that was copied from

Actual result

1. Product doesn't appear in the same store
2. Have to select the store and edit that specific version of the product
3. Clear all caches
4. Even then THUMBNAIL Image doesn't change to the new image (main image is correct)
5. Can fix thumbnail by selecting that the new image at the store level is used for all versions

Additional information

I am going to be in between continents for the next couple of weeks, so you can close this if you want. I was am reporting it before I go offline and have to deal with all the other things that will crop up in the next couple of weeks.

It also appears that the Save and Duplicate function creates a new product that is unable to be fully edited.

In my case, I used the Save and Duplicate function to create a new product. While the new product was edited to have a different name, the "old" name from the original item persist both in the back end and front end.

Are you guys saying you cannot reproduce the issue?
Or are you saying the issue is fixed already?

If it's neither of those, why not write the real reason for ignoring this issue?

@shanevbg Hi. To reproduce your issue we need more detailed steps. Tell us please next information

1. Your websites/stores/store views (screenshots will be helpful too)
2. Did you use different root categories for your stores? Provide us information about configurations to stores
3. Give us all the information from product before duplicating and after (And also what do you changing in the duplicate product)
4. And add detailed expected and actual results
