Magento admin stop loading process when switching browser tabs

Preconditions

1. Magento 2.1.1
2. Chrome on Mac

Steps to reproduce

1. Using Magento Admin
2. Open something or upload images in Magento admin and switch to other Browser Tab

Expected result

1. Magento should keep loading while surfing in other browser tabs. Magento 1 does so and almost all other website do so.

Actual result

1. Magento Admin stops and blocks loading process until back in Magento admin tab.

We were not able to reproduce it.
