I'm posting this as a discussion rather than an issue because maybe it's intentional, and maybe some people prefer it. But I'm curious if there's any appetite to change it.

I find it a bit frustrating that I have to double-click on thumbnails in the film strip to load the image. It's especially counterintuitive that the thumbnail in the filmstrip does get highlighted (selected) on a single click, but that doesn't load the image into the editor view (sorry; not sure off the top of my head what terminology we're using for the different parts of the UI, but hopefully you get what I mean). So you can single-click a thumbnail in the left, not notice that a different image is loaded in the editor (especially if they're very similar frames), and end up making changes to the wrong file. If nothing else, it's just an extra click that is needed every time I want to switch images (besides going forward or back exactly one).
