longStep sets a separate step interval for when the spinner button is long pressed. It also rounds the value to that step so that it is easier to see the progress as you hold the button with the additional benefit that when making large changes to a value having it rounded to a value is a more intuitive place to end up. If longStep is omitted there are no changes to behavior and only step applies if present. So longStep is said to default to step.
