Do not assume ar and ld are on the same path as gcc #10
Description
On CentOS 6, a GCC-4.8 package is available, but installs to
/opt/rh/devtoolset-2/root/usr/bin/gcc
by default.
ar and ld, however, are on /usr/bin.
Thus, do not assume that the path found for gcc is applicable to all executables in the toolchain.
