# Matplotlib benchmarks

This benchmark suite uses [airspeed velocity](https://asv.readthedocs.io/en/stable/) to run benchmarks at <https://matplotlib.org/mpl-bench/> for [Matplotlib](https://matplotlib.org)


To get started using `asv`, install it `pip install asv`, and then run
`asv dev` from the top of this repository. The benchmark tests are in the
subdirectory `benchmarks/`.
