I don't think you were stopping anyone but usually if someone introduces a feature they get the first crack at fixing it.

Will do! The other option is just to revert this feature until someone comes along who can fix it. I'll put a deadline of Nov 7th on this. If the bug isn't fixed by then, we can revert it until someone has the time to look at it. That will prevent more tickets being opened.

Thanks for doing that. 👍 I guess you could call it an ultimatum, but essentially every non-critical feature needs a champion. If features don't have champions then we end up with a lot of bugs that nobody feels a sense of ownership for. So, I encourage the original author to champion a feature as long as possible. For example, I bugged @omega a fair bit after he was kind enough to work on the Changelog parsing. He can confirm this. ;)

Also, we try to move non-essential stuff to the wishlist after a time so that the issues don't get insanely overloaded. Before @ranguard cleaned things up it was really deflating to try and get a sense of what needed to be done.

That's basically my thought process here. Maybe we should document this. Since this is SaaS it's very different from publishing code to CPAN. We can't just tell people to use an older version if the current one is buggy in some way. :)

Sure, no problem. I think I totally understand your POV.But then I have fixed it 6 days ago, right after our exchange, in #1414 . It would be nice if was merged in, or at least commented on so I can fix the additional things.
