ℹ Computer information

  • Windows version: 1909
  • Windows build number: 18363.959
  • PowerToys version: v0.20.0
  • PowerToy module: PowerToys Run

📝 Detailed Reproduction Steps

  1. Enable PowerToys Run in PowerToys Settings
  2. Enter Task View in Windows (default shortcut: Win key + Tab)
  3. Open up PowerToys Run with the shortcut you configured in PowerToys while still in Task View. An entry will be added into Task View called "PowerLauncher".
  4. Close PowerLauncher in Task View (mouse-over to the top-right corner of the entry and click on the X).
  5. Open up PowerToys Run again with the shortcut you configured.

✔️ Expected result

PowerToys Run should appear as expected.

❌ Actual result

PowerToys Run did not appear. It will only appear if you restart PowerToys itself, or turn the PowerToys Run feature in PowerToys off then on.

In Task Manager, powerlauncher.exe disappears when this happened. PowerToys.exe remains running and its other features can still be used.
