What communications are sent to registrants and when?
Registrants will automatically receive:- Registration Confirmation: Immediately after registering

Reminder Emails:
- 72 hours before the event
- 24 hours before the event
- Thank You Email: 48 hours after the event

What should registrants know?
Registrants are informed that:- Space is limited and unregistered guests are not allowed
- They should cancel their registration if they can no longer attend
- They may be asked to present their registration confirmation email at entry

Do registrants need to bring a laptop?
It is highly recommended, as many events include hands-on labs.

Can people register on the day of the event?
Yes—if space is still available and there are no security restrictions for building entry (e.g., no pre-submitted list required).

What do I need to do if my event is held in a Microsoft-owned facility?
You will receive a security confirmation email from ATC@Microsoft.com asking how attendees will gain entry.You must confirm whether a registrant list is required:
- No: Attendees will show their confirmation email at entry

Yes: Provide the Microsoft Security/Lobby Host contact name and email, and confirm:
- What attendee information is required
- The date the list is needed
If a list is required, you must also:
- Respond to the security confirmation email
- Share Security/Lobby Host contact details
- Confirm required fields (e.g., name, email)
- Confirm the submission deadline
This allows us to deliver the list on time and close registration accordingly.
Note: Registration may close early depending on the deadline provided by Microsoft Security/Lobby Host.

Build //localhost is a community‑led extension of Microsoft Build where local leaders host in‑person events after Build using a Microsoft‑provided content package. -
Who is the audience for Build //localhost?
Developers, especially enterprise developers and AI developers, with a focus on hands‑on learning.

Community leaders including Microsoft MVPs / RDs and Azure Tech Groups organizers only. -
Does being an MVP increase the chance of being approved?
No. -
Can one organizer run multiple events?
Possibly, reviewed on a case‑by‑case basis.

Can hosts see registrants?

Is a Microsoft FTE required to use a Microsoft venue?

What reimbursement is available for MVP‑led events?
Up to $500 (or $300 if no Microsoft venue). -
