Wrong linter errors

Sometime I see wrong linter errors:

it is very difficult to reproduce, but it happens often.

I don't have any errors in Developer Tools or Python extension console.
this does not happen when i turn on jedi mode
full restart of the editor helps

Installed extensions: ESLint (1.9.0), GitLens (9.9.3), Python (ms-python.python-2019.8.29288, languageServer.0.3.46), IntelliCode (1.1.9).
VSCode version: 1.37.0

We provide those warnings, not Jedi, so it wouldn't have this behavior, no.

Does the issue go away if you reload? (i.e. restart the editor, or choose "reload" in the command palette)

The squiggles don't appear to be in a place they should be, though the tooltip covers most of what's going on.

Given that there were a mix of syntax errors and linter warnings combined with squiggles in the wrong place, I'd guess this is some strange desync between the editor and the language server (which is fixed by a reload). To work around this, you may be able to just close the file and reopen it again, forcing them to sync up.

@jakebailey closing file and reopening it doesn't help. I have to restart the whole editor to fix it all the time.
