Does this issue occur when all extensions are disabled?: Yes
- VS Code Version: 1.61.1
- OS Version: MacOs 11.5
Steps to Reproduce:
- Have serveral new, unsaved files with content
- Open a new tab and paste a big (3MB) json from clipboard.
- This will take forever, eventually VSCode offers to wait or reopen the window
- Click on reopen. Reopen only closes VSCode. Manually start VSCode.
- All unsaved files are gone. In fact the whole sessions is gone. No files are opened automatically. The welcome page is shown.
Thankfully after doing some research I was able to find my files in ~/Library/Application\ Support/Code/Backups/.
VSCode should not forget about the session.
