MDViewer v0.2.0

What's new

• Quick Look: select a Markdown file in Finder and press space to preview it with MDViewer's rendering, including code highlighting, math and Mermaid diagrams.
• Export as PDF and Export as HTML (File menu). HTML exports are a single file with everything embedded, so they open anywhere.
• Copy as Rich Text (Edit menu, ⌥⇧⌘C) pastes formatted text into Mail, Docs or Slack, with math as TeX.
• Link previews: hovering a link shows where it goes in the bottom-left corner, like Safari.
• Printing keeps code block backgrounds and no longer shows a stray line along the left edge.

Install: download the .dmg below (one file for Apple silicon and Intel, macOS 13 or later), open it and drag MDViewer to Applications.

This build isn't notarised: the first time you open it, macOS blocks it. Go to System Settings ▸ Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.

To open Markdown files with MDViewer by double-click, choose MDViewer ▸ Settings… ▸ Make Default.
