This is the backend service of two services, that run in separate containers. it is made with nodejs express web and application server using typescript, running graphQL server instead of REST calls and using mongodb as a database.
You can install and run the project via the included docker-compose file.
you will need to have installed on your system :
- Docker
- docker-compose
before launching :
- You should change the local database volume that acts as a physical storage
for the mongodb. you can do this by editing the
docker-compose.ymland changing the default directory "/Users/mac/mongodb/database" to a writable directory on your testing machine.
to launch :
$ cd todoListBackEndServer
$ docker-compose uponce both containers are up and running, you can head to the default url http://localhost:3004/auth in order to login or
create a new account via the register form.
(After registering you will need to manually login with the new credentials)
The main Express App entry point is src/server.ts.
Before launch, we will need to install all dependencies using
npm installthen launch using nodemon for development

npm run startIn order to use the server, you will need to link it with a mongodb server, the mongoDb server connection string cna be edited in .env file found in the root directory of the project.
