Plasma cannon is spraying shots completely off

I have 1 MK3 plasma cannon in tank that's using nuclear fuel (if speed matters here a bit). There are swarms of biters around me and several hives, but these plasma shots are basically not hitting a single enemy most of the time, they do catch some trees though out where there are no enemies near... It's like i'm driving towards a huge pack of enemies and then plasma bolt shoots behind me where is nothing.

I edited prototypes\plasma-defense.lua at 27:
lead_target_for_projectile_speed = data.lead_target_for_projectile_speed,
into:
lead_target_for_projectile_speed = 0,

And that seems to aim correctly now. It supposedly doesn't try to predict where enemy will move anymore but that doesn't matter at all with its large explosion.

This seems to work alright. But then, I haven't had any trouble with these turrets in their previous configuration either.
