Making a new instance of Forge 1.20.1 gives me an error message saying I have no Java instance when I have Java installed

Describe the bug

When trying to make a new instance of a forge 1.20.1 Minecraft game, I was given a error message saying no Java instance was found, though I already have the most recent version of Java. I also made a 1.16.5 version Forge instance earlier in the day and it worked perfectly fine.

Steps to reproduce

1. Open the application
2. Click new instance
3. Set the settings to Forge and version 1.20.1
4. Get the error message

Expected behavior

For the game to create the new instance and let me add mods to it as it allowed me with the 1.16.5 version

Hmm, I'm not able to repro this on my machine.
If you look at your settings, what java installations are set for you?

It now randomly let me make the new instance but now, whenever I try and play it, it says it's playing for a couple seconds before just acting like it never opened.
