Summary
Adding the full path allows us to use the generation tools as go tools, similarly to how crd2go has been set up to use the external repo. This is regardless of the tools still sharing the same repo or now. The benefit is that this decouples the main repo build system from each tool build setup, no direct make call to the other project required.
