I'm Akshay Sharma building Own 1 at OpenxAI Labs, a New York-based AI infrastructure company with 20,000+ users.

I've been following Moonshine ASR closely interesting to see only a 27MB speech recognition model that runs on Raspberry Pi and is exactly the kind of edge-first thinking we're building around. Really impressed by what you've built and the community around it.

We want always-on voice on Own 1 wake-word detection, local commands, no cloud overhead. Moonshine is the lightest and most practical option we've found for this. A voice-first hackathon on Own 1 powered by Moonshine would be a natural collaboration.

We're actively building Own 1, a dedicated AI computer for running agents locally- no cloud, no subscriptions and we're looking to co-host a virtual hackathon with communities like yours, targeting developers in the US and European regions. The idea is simple: participants build on your software running on Own 1 hardware via an endpoint we provide, winners get devices, and top projects get listed on our AI Marketplace.

We handle all the hardware, marketing and logistics. There's a lot more we'd love to cover, including how we can support the marketing on both sides so this gets real visibility for your community too.
