Bujhi v1.2.0
New
- Streaming translations — text appears word by word as it's written (first words in ~1s). Closing the card cancels the request, so no tokens are wasted. If a provider fails mid-way, the next one takes over. Turn it off in Settings → Advanced → Stream translations.
- Reply tone — when you're writing in a text box, pick Auto · Casual · Polite · Professional on the card. For Bangla it switches তুমি / আপনি; for English it changes the phrasing. Each tone is cached, so switching back is instant.
Improved
- Casual Bangla now uses তুমি and standard verb forms (পাঠিয়েছ, হয়েছে) instead of drifting to তুই or regional spellings.
- Professional English reads naturally.
- Gemini free-tier limits (15 requests/minute) are treated as a short pause using Google's own retry time, and Bujhi uses your next provider meanwhile, instead of saying "out of credits".
- Streams end as soon as the last words arrive, even if the server is slow to close the connection.
Install / update
Download bujhi-1.2.0.zip, unzip it, then in chrome://extensions (or brave://extensions) turn on Developer mode → Load unpacked. Updating an existing install: replace the folder's contents and click reload on the extension. Your settings are kept.
Bujhi v1.1.0
New
- Themes — Settings → Appearance: System / Light / Dark, six colors (Shobuj, Akash, Beguni, Golap, Shondha, Kalo) and three text sizes, with a live preview. Applies to the card on every site instantly.
- Voice tone & speed — pick a tone (Natural, Calm, Warm, Cheerful, Excited, Gentle, Curious, Soft…) and speed (0.6×–1.5×) separately for the English and Bangla voices.
- Better translations — a new prompt with examples, A/B-tested on real chat sentences: colloquial Bangladeshi Bangla (জ্যামে, not ট্রাফিকে), correct তুমি/আপনি, brand names kept in English, no duplicated "please… please".
Fixed (since v1.0.0)
- Replace no longer duplicates text in WhatsApp and other editors that apply edits asynchronously.
- Voice that's on but has no voice picked now automatically uses the first voice for that language instead of staying silent.
- Voice model is a dropdown, and an API key pasted there by mistake is ignored.
Install / update
