Matter Support

Before getting started with Matter on Homebridge Dummy, please be sure you have read the general Homebridge Matter Support requirements and limitations.

Important Notes

• Matter is still a beta feature in Homebridge, so you may encounter some issues
• Matter requires Homebridge v2
• You must Enable Matter on the bridge that is running Homebridge Dummy
• ⚠️ If you change a Homebridge Dummy accessory protocol from HomeKit to Matter (or vice versa), you will have to set up any Scenes or Automations again for that accessory

Supported Accessories

Here is the list of accessory types that support Matter:

• Lightbulb
• Outlet
• Switch

I can add other accessory types as needed, but it's relatively time-intensive. Please consider whether the currently supported accessory types can support your use case. If not, please leave a comment on this ticket.

Features

The following features should all work with Matter accessories, but not everything has been completely tested:

• Schedule
• Auto-Reset
• Push Notifications
• Limiter
• Trigger Conditions
• Commands
• Webhooks

Sensors and Groups are not currently supported, but could theoretically be added if there is a strong use case.

I believe that History is not possible at this time given that the Eve app uses the HomeKit protocol.
