Setup

Extract zip → run main-gui.exe (GUI) or main-cli.exe (console). tess_config.json and tesseract/ are included.

What's New in v1.5.0

Bug Fixes

• DPI scaling fix: Manual XY coordinate capture now works correctly at any Windows display scale (125%, 150%, etc.). All scripts call SetProcessDpiAwareness(2) at startup so captured coordinates match ImageGrab.grab() physical pixels.

Enhanced Validation

• DEPTH range check: Added 0–100,000 ft/m range validation alongside existing INC/AZI checks
• OOR indicator: Out-of-range values display as OOR in the app (instead of stale last-known-good)
• NaN indicator: Unparseable OCR output displays as NaN
• CSV zeroing: Any error writes 0.00 to CSV (not last-known-good)

GUI Improvements

• Symmetric data table: DEPTH, INC, AZI columns now equal width via uniform grid layout
• Narrower window: Setup tab restructured into extra rows so window can resize to ~300px wide without overlap
• Window default: 380×350, minimum: 300×290

v1.4.4 - Fix OCR display polarity auto-detection

What's changed

Bug fixes

• Motor crop top: adjusted from 94.8% to 94.9% for more reliable row targeting
• OCR preprocessing - replace method: added avg HSV-V auto-detection; when the cropped area has a bright green background (avg V > 150), a bitwise_not is applied after the colour mask so the final image is always black text on white background (Tesseract-preferred format)
• OCR preprocessing - threshold method: automatically selects THRESH_BINARY for bright-background displays and THRESH_BINARY_INV for dark-background displays using the same avg-V heuristic

Notes

• Both Motor and RSS confirmed to use bright green background + black text — fix applies correctly to both tool types
• No changes to config file format or crop coordinates for RSS

Notes

Pre-compiled executables are not attached here due to size (~300 MB with Tesseract bundled). Build from source with Nuitka per the README.
