Description with steps to reproduce

1. Open a score; add some notes
2. Enter some lyrics
3. Open the special characters window and add some
4. Click back on the main window - error noise!

Linux has this issue too.

This also seems to block adding characters from the special characters window to palettes in the main window (same on Linux confirmed by @MarcSabatella).
