I'm on 2.8.1 and have players such as: and Group Family Area (Chromecast Google Cast Group) Where is the player merging? |

The merging is that the Foxtel Now Box is Chromecast AND Sendspin. If you are saying that second Foxtel entry is actually the same physical device then you will need to show us the top section of each player so we can see the device IDs and ideally attach the output of the players/all API call which you can find at the api-docs endpoint https://www.music-assistant.io/api/ |

Got it. in my case the Foxtel Now Box + is a virtual Apple Airplay instance created via https://github.com/philippe44/airconnect and given they have separate MAC/IP addresses, I don't expect them to be merged as the same IP hosts multiple airplay instances:
