Kast 1.2.1
What's new
- Rotate picture (right-click menu, ⚙ menu or
R): turns a video that is sideways or upside down by 90° per step – on the PC and on the TV. The rotation is reset for every file. - Rotated phone videos show upright on the TV: videos that only store their rotation as information in the file (most phone videos) used to appear sideways or upside down on many TVs. Kast now turns them itself while casting.
- Stop button next to play: ends playback and returns to the start screen (the position is kept for resuming). While casting it turns into a cast symbol with a stop badge and ends casting.
- Next/previous while casting now switches the file on the TV, and at the end of a video the next file of the folder follows automatically (also on DLNA TVs).
- The window now takes the right shape for portrait and rotated videos.
- Notice for new libraries: the built-in update replaces
Kast.exeonly. If a release brings newerlibmpv-2.dll/ffmpeg.exe, the about window (ⓘ, orange dot) now says so and tells you to unpack the full package.
Included libraries: mpv v0.41.0-1101-g5d85ba5fb, FFmpeg N-127213-g2da55bf59.
