I've prototyped a Lua based Sequence Engine. I made a video walking through the README.md and then a demo of running it:

Highlights:

• VS code support for debugging Lua scripts
• Currently capable of running 4 separate threads of sequences
• start/stop sequences using table services defined tables
• Lua sandboxed to provide safety (remove os, io, package, debug)
• Extended to allow for message definition, sb subscriptions, callback for messages, cmd and event generation, timestamping of incoming messages, and time services.
• Incoming messages decomposed to fields and accessible within scripts.
• Hk telemetry per thread with tick counters, error counters as well as run status.
• Error callback per sequence
