Following the same pattern from the recent fetch instrumentation changes, this is instrumentation for http/https calls to capture tracing for libraries such as axios

  • Subscribes to diagnostic channels to avoid conflicts
  • Follows the same interface as FetchInstrumentation
  • Valid for Node v20+
  • Uses startSpan rather than activeSpan
