What is Patina?

Patina is a context orchestration tool for AI-assisted development. It captures and evolves your development patterns over time — like the protective layer that forms on metal, your development wisdom builds up and transfers between projects.

What it does

• Semantic search across your codebase, sessions, and patterns (patina scry)
• Knowledge indexing with hybrid retrieval — embeddings + full-text search (patina scrape)
• Session tracking that captures development decisions and context
• Epistemic beliefs — formalized project decisions with evidence and confidence
• Multi-repo federation — query across projects and reference repositories
• LLM agnostic — adapters for Claude, Gemini, and others
