I wonder why these critical patches are not being applied in a timely fashion. As a newcomer to AndEngine, had I not had the skills to apply these patches manually by merging forked branches, I may have lost interest. It's taking me 2 days to get the simplest examples going. Beginners cloning the AndEngine repositories are being turned down by how non-trivial it is to get something running I think.

@nicolasgramlich, please accept some of these pull requests as soon as you can. Thank you.

I see. I'm quite stumped at how this fantastic open-source project is neglecting vital developer input. @nicolasgramlich has been fairly active on github, yet most of the AndEngine repositories get no attention. @nicolasgramlich, @jberkel seems to be contributing a good amount of patches, if I may, I'd like suggest that he be given write access to this upstream repository to help around with current patches and development.

I'm very impressed with the project and am willing to use it and contribute to it, but seeing pull requests that are open for so long is turning me away, and maintaining a fork for myself is probably beyond my knowledge and resources.
