I'm running into this problem. I have a 57" monitor that I has in Picture-by-Picture mode where I just treated it like two separate monitors. It was really nice having aerospace treat both halves of my monitor separately. I recently got a new computer that supports outputting the full resolution of my monitor, but now I have to deal with aerospace not treating each half of the monitor separately. I'm honestly thinking of just going back to the PBP mode because of how nice it was to have two halves working as separate workspaces. |

I use my MacBook with various monitor setups. Sometimes, when working on widescreen monitors, I mentally divide them into two or three sections. What if Aerospace could be used to define virtual monitors within the space of a named monitor? This way, widescreens could function like two or three monitors placed side by side, and vertically oriented monitors could act like stacked displays. The LG DualUp, for instance, could be used as two monitors positioned one above the other.
Additionally, the full-screen feature could be set to
strict(full screen meaning the area of a single monitor, even a virtual one) or tophysical, where a window spans across all virtual monitors. Alternative naming could bevirtualforstrictandmonitorforphysical...Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
