Too many aerospace processes and system hang

I have aerospace installed on two of my computers and both of them got way too many aerospace processes almost at the same time today and cause my system to hang. I do have one auxiliary program that I have written for myself called aeromux running on both of them, so it could be caused by that too. I didn't see an update of either of these, so I am suspecting that something else changed on the system due to which aerospace started misbehaving.

Did anyone else see a similar problem on their computer?
