Roadmap: What MarsFounder.io Should Become

MarsFounder.io is an open-source robotic-first Mars mission control platform. The current product already covers fleet browsing, configuration, missions, telemetry, and marketplace concepts, but the next stage is about making it more stable, more contributor-friendly, and more simulation-rich.

Current priorities

• strengthen contributor onboarding and repo discoverability
• improve UI reliability across all data-backed tabs
• add baseline automated test coverage for core API routes
• reduce frontend bundle size on the heaviest pages
• improve telemetry realism and operational modeling
• make deployment more production-ready, especially around API HTTPS

Near-term roadmap

• better loading, empty, and error states
• seeded GitHub issues and contributor labels
• README visual improvements and stronger repo metadata
• CI hardening and basic regression checks
• API deployment cleanup and HTTPS/domain path improvements

Mid-term roadmap

• deeper mission feasibility and simulation modeling

• richer telemetry and environmental data

• saved builds and more persistent founder workflows

• better marketplace and loadout modeling

• more realistic robotic operations constraints
