libmbus2mqtt v2.1.0

This release improves reliability, device handling, and the overall Home Assistant integration experience.

Highlights

• Improved recovery after restarts and MQTT reconnects. Restoring your devices and their last known state works more reliably now.
• Better handling when a meter is replaced - if a different physical meter appears on the same M-Bus address, libmbus2mqtt now recognizes it more cleanly and avoids mixing it up with the previous device.
• Smarter template matching. Meters can now have more than one associated template based on number of DataRecords published.

Templates

• Full support for Itron CYBLE M-Bus devices, meaning full decoding of manufactorer data.

Other improvements

• Updated Docker image and Python support
• Refreshed dependencies and CI/release tooling
• General fixes and internal stability improvements
