THIS IS UNFINISHED. Expect bugs, missing features and things changing between releases.

New

  • Local multiplayer is back! Just press start to join as P2 on the Multiplayer screen, and yellow to reorder. Controllers are now matched by GUID from a catalogue of guitar families. Hotplug, replug and last run's seats should be remembered in input.ini, and keyboard controls should ALWAYS be available to P1 as a last resort.
  • Face-Off and Pro Face-Off now show all unlocked content from all games including outfits, guitars, venues and setlists
  • Controllers screen under Options > Settings, or the pause menu's Settings. Lets you easily check mappings and rebind controls for individual gamepads, guitar controllers, and keyboards. Gamepad mode is now a toggle defaulted on for gamepads, and the help bar shows glyphs for gamepads and keyboard controls now
  • PLAY A SHOW Hub Quickplay now starts on a hub where you can pick your character, guitar, and venue more conveniently, with some nifty menu animations.
  • Quickplay songs unlocked in any difficulty or note engine are available for everyone
  • Added crowns to indicate FCs beside stars on career and quickplay. FCs done in quickplay are kept for progression. Streak counter digits are purple now to indicate a run is still a FC
  • Song map tube under the rock meter to see roughly how much longer the song is
  • "Unlock all" added to game settings if you don't wanna have to unlock shit

Bugs

  • Song caption shows again on restart
  • Main menu's Quit readjusted to fit in each theme
  • 80s finale flagged as a special encore, as retail does for Play With Me
  • Campaign progress counts each song by the hardest difficulty passed instead of starting at 75% after beating a single song on expert
  • Score and rock meters in the HUD slide-in at their correct height
  • Setlists longer than the song list paper scroll a window at a time
  • Track fade-out follows longer highways, so far gems and tails stay lit, and held, let-go and missed sustains survive note speed, highway length or lefty remaking the track
