Describe the usecase for the feature

It would be very helpful if you could edit the filter query, so that you can put the most needed filters on top of this field.

Suggested Solution

As in other rows you should be able to sort the filter querys and edit the order of the columns.

This filter query only gives basic filtering on the current table in a local state. If filter results are not meant to be shared to other collaborators, then probably Personal View would be a better choice. However, PV is not available in the current state. Otherwise, you may create a new view and apply complex filtering on that view.
