Openness of Meetings

While having the meetings recorded is great and costs us nothing since they’re stored on the Linux Foundation servers as proposed in #59 ,

I think it would be great if anyone could join the meeting. If there are private topics to discuss, we can simply ask external participants to leave for that part. For example, in Express, anyone can join the meetings and participate in the discussions, it would be nice to follow that same philosophy where anyone can join. This is also how the CPC and many other Node.js groups operate, so I don’t see why this group should be any different.

i dont honestly think it's intentional - IIRC it has more to do with the LFX account and invite structure. I could be wrong. cc @avivkeller

In Express we also use LFX, and anyone can join. The CPC also uses LFX, so I don’t think that’s the limitation.

I just saw the thread in Slack too. Hopefully this was just a miscommunication on our initial cut of this. I think we here are pretty universally welcoming to anyone that wants to join 😄

Our meeting settings are currently (and they haven't changed since we started using LFX):

Do you want me to toggle "Restrict to invited users" to disabled (👍 👎)?
